DHAKA, July 28, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Navy today organized a free medical campaign for the treatment of underprivileged people in various coastal and remote areas of the country and in the capital.
Bangladesh Navy organised the event in line with nationwide programmes by the National Committee formed under the leadership of the Chief Adviser marking the 'July Revival Programme 2025', said an ISPR press release.
A medical team of Navy provided medical services and necessary medicines to about five hundred people including children and women from morning to noon at the camp at Bhasanatek in the capital under the supervision of the Commander of the Dhaka Naval Region.
In addition, several thousand helpless and underprivileged people benefited from the free medical services provided by the experienced and qualified medical team of the Navy in the medical campaigns conducted in Anwara, Pekua, Kutubdia, Kaptai and Saint Martin in Chattogram under the Chattogram Naval Region.
Besides, day-long medical camps were held under the supervision of Khulna Naval Region in Tajumuddin and Char Fashion of Bhola district, Bamna of Barguna and Koyra upazila of Khulna.
In these camps, services were provided to patients suffering from common diseases as well as complex problems.
Bangladesh Navy has been providing free essential healthcare services to the people in various situations, including during disasters, in coastal and remote areas for a long time.
Bangladesh Navy will continue to work to ensure healthcare services to the marginalized communities of the country by continuing such service activities in the future as well.
