CUMILLA, July 29, 2025 (BSS) - Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan has expressed resentment against spreading false propaganda involving him and his family by a private television channel.

Asif, also the Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Adviser, made this allegation in a post on his verified Facebook account this morning.

Asif wrote, "Neither any of my family members nor I visited the area for the last three months."

Describing himself as a child of a middle-class family, Asif Mahmud said, "I have no establishment backup, no economic base as well."
 
"I only wanted to work for the people. But it doesn't seem like that will be possible anymore. Let the mafia continue to enjoy victory. But while working for the people, I have made the powerful quarters enemy despite being a child of a middle-class family" he mentioned.
