DHAKA, Aug 6, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Director General (DG) AKM Shahidur Rahman today called upon the meritorious students to use their talents in building the country. 

“Dedicate yourselves to the work of building the country being inspired by a sense of responsibility, honesty and patriotism, not limiting the achievement of the students to just a degree or certificate,” he said. 

He was speaking as the chief guest at a ceremony to give awards to the GPA 5 securing children of the RAB personnel in the past SSC examinations at the Shaheed Lt. Col. Azad Memorial Hall of the RAB Forces Headquarters here. 

The RAB chief expressed his hope that the students will achieve successes in the future and play a role in the welfare of the country.

Additional Director General (Operations), Additional Director General (Administration), all directors of RAB Forces Headquarters, other senior officers, guardians and talented students were present at the ceremony.

A total of 84 meritorious students were awarded with honor crests, certificates and one-time meritorious scholarships through this programme.
