Chief Adviser’s Special Assistants visit Beximco Pharma

DHAKA, Aug 6, 2025 (BSS) – Special Assistants to the Chief Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Abdul Hafiz and eminent economist Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury today visited Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd here.  

They toured Beximco Pharma’s state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Tongi near the capital city.  

During the visit, the special assistants inspected the company’s production line, state-of-the-art research and development center, and quality control laboratories. 

During their visit, they were briefed on Beximco Pharma’s drug innovation, export operations, and contributions to public health both domestically and internationally.

Abdul Hafiz, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Defence and National Integration Development said, “Beximco Pharma is an excellent example of how the country’s pharmaceutical sector is advancing technologically and competing globally.”

Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury said, “It is highly encouraging to see a Bangladeshi company investing in research and development while maintaining international standards. Beximco Pharma is not only producing pharmaceuticals, but also bringing pride for the nation.”

During the visit, they emphasized on the importance of strengthening the pharmaceutical industry through joint efforts between the public and private sectors.
