UN Bangladesh Security Adviser Meets IGP

DHAKA, Aug 7, 2025 (BSS) - The UN Bangladesh Security Adviser Tess B. Bresnan today paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police (IGP), Baharul Alam.  

The meeting was held at the Police Headquarters this morning, according to a press release of the Police Headquarters. 

Various issues related to strengthening mutual cooperation were discussed focusing on the upcoming national elections at the meeting.

During the meeting, Bresnan expressed satisfaction with the professionalism and cooperation of Bangladesh Police in ensuring the security of officers and employees working in various UN agencies and partner organizations in Bangladesh.

The IGP said that the police is working with utmost importance to ensure the security of officers and employees of the UN and other foreign organizations working in Bangladesh and this cooperation will continue in future.

DIG (Operations) of Police Headquarters Md. Rezaul Karim and other senior police officers were present at the time.
