RAJSHAHI, Aug 9, 2025 (BSS)- Advisor to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives (LGRD) Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan has inaugurated 10 development projects and laid the foundation stones of two other projects in the district today.
The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) implemented the projects and the opening ceremony was organized at Rajshahi Circuit House this morning.
According to the LGED sources, the inaugurated projects are: Rajshahi Central Eidgah, Nimpara Habibpur Government Primary School in Charghat Upazila, Chalk Chhatari Government Primary School in Bagha Upazila, Sonadighi Government Primary School in Godagari Upazila, Dhorsha Government Primary School in Mohanpur Upazila and Laxmipur Government Primary School in Rajshahi city.
He inaugurated the newly built Ekdala Land Office in Bagmara Upazila and a two-storey market building at Haripur Hat in Paba Upazila.
Advisor Asif Mahmud also inaugurated the construction works of the 72-meter Panthapara-Kodamshahar Bhagail Bridge in Godagari Upazila and re-excavation works of Nimapara-Habibpur canal in Charghat Upazila.
He laid the foundation stones for widening and strengthening works on a road from Kasimbazar to Baya, as well as for the construction of a two-storey market building at Birkutsa under Bagmara Upazila.
Commissioner of Rajshahi division Khondoker Azim Ahmed, Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Muhammad Abu Sufiyan, Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi Afia Akhter, Deputy Director of Department of Youth Development ATM Golam Mahbub and others were present on the occasion.
