Police to help make next election an example for world, hopes DMP Commissioner

DHAKA, Aug 9, 2025 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali has expressed the hope that Bangladesh police personnel will perform their duties with utmost professionalism to help make the upcoming general election a glaring example at home and abroad.

“We hope that the Bangladesh Police would perform its duties with professionalism and impartially to help make the upcoming elections as an example at home and abroad,” he said.

The DMP Commissioner was addressing a special briefing titled “Role of Bangladesh Police force members in the current situation” at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in the city’s Rajarbagh area on Friday.

Referring to the next general election to be held on February next, he said work has already begun to make the elections acceptable and impartial as per the instructions of the honorable Chief Adviser.
