DHAKA, Aug 9, 2025 (BSS)- Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. A. F. M. Khalid Hossain today said human service is a very noble act as it gets priority in all religions.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a cheque distribution ceremony for the maintenance of helpless and orphan students organized by Al Manahil Welfare Foundation Bangladesh at the organization's office in Baridhara here.

Khalid said all religions including Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity have talked about donation, help and compassion.

“Human service has been called a sacred duty in every religion. Through this, qualities like morality, patience, compassion and self-sacrifice are awakened in people. It helps people to become human in the true sense,” he said.

Highlighting the importance of humanitarian work, Khalid said it develops empathy and strengthens social bonds in society.

“When people stand by each other, unity and brotherhood increase in society. This maintains social stability and balance,” he said.

The adviser said the mental peace that can be obtained through humanitarian work cannot be achieved with money or fame.

Regarding the activities of Al Manahil Foundation, he said that this organization has been carrying out humanitarian work for long.

This organization carries out various types of service including taking care of the helpless and orphans, establishing mosques and madrasas, providing drinking water, building houses for the homeless, and helping the homeless.

He expressed hope that this organization will continue its humanitarian work in future as well.
