DHAKA, Aug 17, 2025 (BSS) - The fire broke out in the Hosaf Shopping Complex at Malibagh intersection in the capital came under control minutes after it originated.
 
The Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) control room said that the fire took place on the fourth floor of the six-story building around 1pm today and then the entire building and adjacent areas were covered in thick smoke.
 
Two units of the fire service went there on information, but by then people in the market extinguished the fire, it said.
 
No one was injured in the incident.

It is anticipated that the fire originated from an AC, according the Fire Service sources.
