Discussion held at Dhaka College marking Khaleda Zia's birthday

DHAKA, Aug 17, 2025 (BSS) - A discussion titled "Khaleda Zia's Other Name, Uncompromising Struggle" was held at Dhaka College Gallery-4 here on Saturday marking the 80th birthday of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. 

ABM Ijazul Kabir Ruel, vice-president of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chhatradal (JCD) Kendrio Sangsad, attended the event as the chief guest and the discussion was organized by the Kamal Reading Club.

Speaking on the occasion, Ijazul highlighted Begum Zia's transformation to a national leader from an ordinary housewife.
 
"Her leadership has guided the country through every major crisis. Her uncompromising attitude and life of struggle are a testament to her dedication to the people," he said.

The discussion was presided over by Mohiuddin Mafi, advisor of Kamal Reading Club and former vice-president of Dhaka College unit Chhatradal and moderated by Soyaib Ahmed Sojib, joint convener of Dhaka College unit Chhatradal.

Mohiuddin S Rubel, joint general secretary of JCD Kendrio Sangsad and Millad Hossain, member secretary of Dhaka College unit Chhatradal, were also present, among others, on the occasion.
