DHAKA, Aug 19, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thunder showers with temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am.

“Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka & Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Monday recorded 35.2 degree Celsius in Rajshahi and Sylhet while today’s minimum temperature was 23.9 degree Celsius in Sylhet.

The sun sets at 6:29 pm today and rises at 5:35 am tomorrow in the capital.
