Engr M Rafius Sajjad joins as BWDB's ADG

DHAKA, Aug 19, 2025 (BSS) - Engineer Md Rafius Sajjad joined Bangladesh Water 
Development Board (BWDB) today as its Additional Director General (ADG).

Previously, he served as Chief Engineer (Civil), Central Zone of the BWDB.

Engr Sajjad earned a BSC in Civil Engineering degree from Khulna University 
of Engineering and Technology (KUET) in 1991. He also obtained a Postgraduate 
Diploma (PGD) degree on Water Resources Development from Italy. He joined 
BWDB in 1993 as an Assistant Engineer (Civil) post.

Throughout his tenure, he performed as sub-divisional Engineer, Executive 
Engineer, Superintendent Engineer, Additional Chief Engineer and Chief 
Engineer under different sections of the BWDB.

He had participated in different seminars and training in his 32-year long 
career in Japan, China, Philippines, Indonesia, Turkey, Thailand, Italy, 
France, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and Netherlands.

Engineer M Rafius Sajjad born in a respected Muslim family in Cumilla 
district in 1968.
