DHAKA, Aug 20, 2025 (BSS) - The holy Akheri Chahar Shamba, an important day for Muslims, was observed today across the country marking the recovery of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (SM) from his prolonged illness.

To mark the day, the Islamic Foundation organized a discussion and doa mahfil after Johr prayers at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

Islamic Foundation Director General and Senior District and Sessions Judge Abdus Salam Khan attended the function as the chief guest.

Dr Mufti Maulana Kamrul Hasan Shahin, Khatib of Nurani Jame Mosque, attended the function as discussant, while Islamic Foundation Director of Dini Dawat and Cultural Department Dr Mohammad Harunur Rashid presided over it.

Officials and employees of the Islamic Foundation, along with a large number of devotees, also attended the event.
