DHAKA, Aug 21, 2025 (BSS)- Senior Secretary of the Land Ministry ASM Saleh Ahmed has underscored the need for quick delivery of land services and follow the proper method while receiving, filing, investigating and disposing of the allegations on land services.

“The foremost goal should be resolving the problems of the persons who lodge the allegation and improving the service of the organization,” he said adding all allegations coming online or offline should be taken into cognizance.

Saleh Ahmed said this while addressing a seminar for finalizing the draft on ‘Allegation Management Guide’ at the Bhumi Bhaban here today.

The land secretary said even any cognizable news published in the media should be disposed of through proper investigation. Public opinion should be taken into consideration in receiving and disposing the land related allegations, he added.

Saleh Ahmed said the allegation is not a case, but a protest for being deprived of the service. It’s not the fact that the result would always go in favour of the person who put up the allegation.

Everybody must work to reduce the number of allegation, and for this all allegations should be disposed off in quick pace, he said.

Terming land service as an important job of the government the land secretary said smooth land services help satisfying people on government activities and widen the government’s transparency and accountability.

The speakers told the seminar that the land department has 5247 land service offices and 743 land service centres across the country which are receiving allegations on land services in written and on telephonic conversation.

Chairman of the Land Reforms Board ASM Salah Uddin Nagri, Director General of the Land Records and Survey Directorate Saidur Rahman, Chairman of the Land Appeal Board Dr Mahmud Hassan and senior officials of the ministry addressed the seminar.

The land secretary later joined a review meeting on the progress of the automated land service system software.
