Maritime ports asked to hoist local cautionary signal No 3

DHAKA, Aug 22, 2025 (BSS) - Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal No 3 as deep convection continues to form over the North Bay.

"Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three," said the Bangladesh Meteorological Department in a warning message today.
 
All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice, the BMD said.
