Army medical cultural, art, photography fest held in city

DHAKA, Aug 22, 2025 (BSS) – The ‘2nd National Medi Carnival, Cultural, Art and Photography Fest-2025’ was held today on the cantonment college premises.

Armed Forces Medical College organized the Fest-2025, which was attended by over 400 students from more than 35 reputed medical colleges, according to an ISPR press release.

Renowned doctors Professor Dr Mehjabeen Haque, Dr Liaqat Hossain, Professor Dr Lutful Aziz, Professor Dr Farhana Dewan, Major General (retd) Liza Chowdhury, Brigadier General (retd) Ahsan Habib, Brigadier General (retd) Mamun Mostafi, and Brigadier General (retd) Deepak Kumar Pal Chowdhury, among others, joined the function. 

Doctors' Dilemma (Quiz), Medi Spelling, Anatomical Drawing, Medical Diagnosis, Detective Doctor, Write It Right and Poster Presentation Competition were held during the fest, which was organized by AFMC Carnival Club. 

While AFMC Photography Club and AFMC Art Club organized a photography exhibition and art exhibition respectively, the release said.

Besides, the AFMC Language and Debate Club organized an inter-medical poetry and debate competition. 

The judges of this exhibition and competition were renowned freelance photographers and artists.

Finally, AFMC Cultural and Drama Club organized a cultural programme for the audience. 

The programme was organized with overall support of Armed Forces Medical College Commandant Major General Md Masudul Alam Majumder. Besides, students and teachers wholeheartedly worked to make the programme a success.
