Mahfuj mourns death of veteran journo Alamgir Mohiuddin

DHAKA, Aug 23, 2025 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Mahfuj Alam today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of veteran journalist and former editor of the Daily Naya Diganta Alamgir Mohiuddin.

In a message of condolence, the adviser said Alamgir Mohiuddin did objective journalism with courage. His contribution to the country's mass media will be remembered forever.

Mahfuj said his death is an irreparable loss for the country's media sector.

The adviser prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Alamgir Mohiuddin, a member of the Board of Directors of the Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), died today while undergoing treatment at a city hospital.
