GAZIPUR, Aug 23, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud today said about 650,000 Ansar members will be deployed at polling stations across the country in the upcoming national parliamentary elections.

“For this, another 180,000 Ansar members have been trained and prepared,” he said at a function at Ansar Academy here.

The DG said that there will be round-the-clock communication with Ansar members at every polling station through a mobile application during the elections. If any sabotage attempt is made, immediate action will be taken against them, he added.

He said arrangements are being made for advanced training of all members to strengthen the Ansar force. Only those who successfully complete the training course, will be considered suitable for serving in the Ansar force, he added.

Additional DG of Ansar Brigadier General Fida Mahmud, Deputy Director General (Training) Md. Rafiqul Islam and Academy Commandant Mohammad Nurul Absar, among others, were present at the event.
