DHAKA, Aug 24, 2025 (BSS) - Social Welfare Adviser to the interim government Sharmeen S Murshid today urged all to build the country by utilizing the vigor of the youths of the July Uprising.

“We saw that how the youths and juveniles joined the July Mass Uprising in 2024 against the fascism,” she said this while addressing a workshop on Safe Alliance Counseling and Cyber Unit at International Mother Language Institute auditorium here as the chief guest.

With Chairman of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Major General (retd) Md Emdadul Bari in the chair, the workshop was attended, among others, by Joint Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Harunur Rashid and Chief of National Trauma Counseling Centre Ismot Jahan.

The social welfare adviser said that the youths became successful in last year’s uprising due to their inevitable courage and commitment. 

The people of the country will remember the youths who have sacrificed their lives in July uprising forever, she said adding that her ministry would continue its cooperation to the interim government for the wellbeing of the July martyred.

She called upon the youths to come forward to be equipped with technology for building a merit based nation. 

The women and children repression would be reduced in the country if we can build resistance in every house with the youths and juveniles, Sharmeen Murshid added.
