Sharmin condemns attack on Nurul Haque

DHAKA, Aug 31, 2025 (BSS) - Social Welfare Adviser Sharmin S Murshid today condemned the attack on Nurul Haque Nur, saying such an inhumane attack is not acceptable in any way.

"A specialized medical board has been formed to monitor the health condition of Nurul Haque Nur and other injured members of his party. The government is monitoring them around the clock to ensure the highest quality of medical care," she said.

She said this while visiting injured Gana Adhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque (Nur) and other injured members of his party at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

She inquired about the health condition of the injured persons.

Sharmin, also Adviser on Women and Children Affairs, asked the doctors to provide the highest standard of treatment to the injured persons.

She said they would be sent abroad for better treatment if necessary.

During her visit, Dhaka Medical College Hospital Director Brig. Gen. Md Asaduzzaman and senior doctors were present.
