DHAKA, Sept 1, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will clean ponds, canals and drains across Dhaka tomorrow, replacing the pre-announced rally in the city to mark the party's 47th founding anniversary.

The party took the decision to prevent inconvenience to the city's residents. BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi informed journalists about the change today.

He said, "To avoid causing any sufferings to Dhaka citizens, BNP has canceled the rally. Instead, BNP's Dhaka city units, both north and south, will carry out cleaning operations to contribute to a healthier environment in the city."

Rizvi added that party members will volunteer in different areas of the capital starting in the morning and invited the general public to participate in the initiative.
