Govt orders in-situ promotion of 11 DSs

DHAKA, Sept 1, 2025 (BSS) – The government has made an in-situ directive to 11 officers, who have been promoted to the rank of deputy secretary (DS) from senior assistant secretary.

The public administration ministry issued a notification in this regard here today, saying that 11 deputy secretaries (DSs), who got promotion on August 28 and made officers of special duty (OSDs), will remain in their current position, continuing to perform the same duties and holding the same office.

It said the in-situ officers are Linkon Biswas, additional deputy commissioner, Narail, Sharmin Akter, additional deputy commissioner, Chuadanga, Md Mashfakur Rahman, additional deputy commissioner, Narayanganj, Md Mizanur Rahman, additional deputy commissioner, Chuadanga, Md Badruddoza Shuvo, additional deputy commissioner, Dhaka, Ferdousi Begum, additional deputy commissioner, Khagrachari, Fuara Khatun, additional deputy commissioner, Dhaka, Ahmed Mahbub-ul-Islam, additional deputy commissioner, Chuadanga, Md Ariful Islam, additional deputy commissioner, Bagerhat and Sousumi Khanam, additional deputy commissioner, Jamalpur.

The notification said the order, issued in public interest, will be effective immediately.
