MAG Osmani's life and philosophy need to be discussed more: Bidhan

DHAKA, Sept 1, 2025 (BSS)- Primary and Mass Education Adviser Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Podder today said it is necessary to study the life of Commander- in - Chief of country’s Liberation War , 1971,  General MAG Osmani for the needs of the nation because there is a great lack of talented people like him in the country.

He said these while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion organized on the occasion of the 107th birth anniversary of General MAG Osmani at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital.

“We take all the talented people we see in front of us as role models.

  Children also do the same. Therefore, we need to discuss the life and philosophy of General MAG Osmani more to build our future generation.”

Banga Bir Osmani Smriti Parishad chief adviser freedom fighter Major General (retd) M. Azizur Rahman, Bir Uttam chaired the event while former adviser to the caretaker government Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, Justice Dr. Md. Abu Tariq, retired Air Vice Marshal Ehsanul Gani Chowdhury, Managing Director of SME Foundation Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, and Director General of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection Mohammad Alim Akhtar Khan, were present as special guests.
