Govt. approves proposal for implementing civic services operations thru DPM method

DHAKA, Sep 2, 2025 (BSS) - The government has approved a proposal in principle on condition for implementing the civic services operations through the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) at division and district levels.

The approval came from the 28th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Economic Affairs on in this year held today. Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed virtually presided over the meeting.

The day's meeting approved another proposal from the Health Services Division for supplying uninterruptedly the GeneXpert Cartridge under DPM method for detecting Tuberculosis patients under the National Tuberculosis Control Programme till June, 2026.

The meeting also okayed two separate proposals from the Ministry of Housing and Public Works for implementing the civil part and (E/M part) of the 'July Uprising Memorial Museum' under the OTM method to implement as delegated works.
