Hasina has left country, but not given up her wickedness: Fakhrul

DHAKA, Sep 2, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today said the fallen fascist Sheikh Hasina has left the country but hasn't given up her wickedness.

"Although Sheikh Hasina has fled the country, she hasn't abandoned her wickedness. She is constantly instigating from India, instructing Chhatra League and Jubo League members to cause troubles," he said.

Fakhrul made the remarks while addressing the inaugural ceremony of canal cleaning programme organized by Dhaka North City BNP in Uttara to mark the 47th founding anniversary of the party.

Referring to Sheikh Hasina's plots to destabilize the country, the BNP Secretary General instructed his party activists to retaliate with a counter-attacks if they are ever targeted. 


He said, "Now it's just politics of slogans; we must practice politics by upholding the ideals of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman. We can't become a sycophantic party like the Awami League. If we do, people won't love the BNP either."

Stating that there will be no compromise on the country's independence and sovereignty, Mirza Fakhrul further said, "We will protect the country's independence and sovereignty with our last drop of blood; there is no compromise here."

Speaking about the country's politics, he said, "Chief Adviser Prof Dr. Yunus has no desire to engage in politics. He has come to restore peace in the country." 

Mirza Fakhrul mentioned that BNP activists respect the law, saying, "The law will take its own course. If BNP comes to power, the media will be able to work with complete freedom."

Addressing the leaders and activists Mirza Fakhrul said they should not create chaos in student union elections or anywhere else. 

He urged the police to play a more responsible role, forgetting their past actions. Additionally, he instructed everyone to stay united against the rumors being spread on social media.
