Light to moderate rain likely in parts of country

DHAKA, Sept 3, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places in the country over the next 24 hours, beginning at 9:00 am today.

"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said a BMD bulletin this morning.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the met office predicted.

It further said monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.

Tuesday, the highest temperature recorded was 36.8 degrees Celsius in Sitakunda, while the lowest temperature was 23.6 degrees Celsius in Srimangal.
