Health officials report 3 deaths, 363 fresh cases of dengue inflection overnight

DHAKA, Sept 04, 2025 (BSS) - Health officials today said they recorded 363 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts killing at least three persons in the past 24 hours.

"During the period, (of the 363) 88 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 50 in Chattogram division, 70 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 56 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 56 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 16 in Khulna division, 10 in Mymensingh division, 16 in Rajshahi division and one in Sylhet division, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.

Since the start of the dengue onslaughts Bangladesh this year witnessed so far 130 deaths while the disease inflicted 33,309.

The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in the country.
