Prof Abrar mourns death of Badruddin Umar

DHAKA, Sept 07, 2025 (BSS) - Education Adviser Professor Dr CR Abrar today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of prominent writer, researcher and leftist intellectual Badruddin Umar.

In a message of condolence, the Adviser said, “Badruddin Umar's contribution to writing an objective history of all important political, social and cultural chapters of this country, including our language movement, will ever be remembered. With his death, the country and the nation lost a talented son.”

“Badruddin Umar, president of the Jatiya Mukti Council, was not just a theoretician, but a fighter who raised his voice against injustice throughout his life,” the Adviser said.

Prof Abrar prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
