Training for injured journalists in July uprising begins tomorrow

DHAKA, Sept 8, 2025 (BSS) - As part of the professional skills reconstruction of journalists, who were injured in the July mass uprising, the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) is going to initiate a three-day "Mobile Journalism Training" (residential) from tomorrow.

A total of 28 journalists who were physically and mentally injured while performing their professional duties during the uprising will participate in the second phase of this training, said a press release.

Information and Broadcasting Secretary Mahbuba Farjana is scheduled to inaugurate the training as the chief guest while PIB Director General (DG) Faruk Wasif will preside over the session. 

The inauguration of this training programme will be held tomorrow at 9:30 am in the seminar room of the PIB.

The participants in this training programme will learn how to collect, edit and publish news using mobile phones.
