Govt asks private education institutions to form regular managing committee within Nov 30

DHAKA, Sept 8, 2025 (BSS) – Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has asked the private educational institutions, whose ad-hoc committees’ tenure have expired, to complete formation of regular managing committees within November 30.

The committees will be formed as per the Regulations of All Education Boards (Governing Bodies and Managing Committees of Private Educational Institutions at Lower Secondary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Levels), 2024 (with amendments), according to a notification issued here today.

The notification said that educational institutions that have not yet formed ad-hoc committees should form ad-hoc committees within the next 15 days as per the Regulations 2024. 

All ad-hoc committees will be abolished from December 1. In case of failure to form the committee, the head of the concerned educational institution will be responsible and will be subject to measures as per the rules.

The notification also mentioned that this order will come into effect immediately.
