Pakistani HC calls on Cultural Affairs Adviser

DHAKA, Sept 9, 2025 (BSS) - Newly-appointed High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh Imran Haider paid a courtesy call on Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki at his latter's ministry office this afternoon.

During the meeting, they expressed optimism that the existing friendly relations between the peoples of the two brotherly countries of the Muslim Ummah would be further strengthened in the coming days.

They observed that the rich cultural heritage, shared traditions, lifestyle and literature of the two South Asian nations could open new avenues of knowledge and mutual understanding.

Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing cultural cooperation through the exchange of cultural troupes and television programmes, which would contribute to deepening people-to-people connectivity.

Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Md Mofidur Rahman was present at the meeting.
