DHAKA, Sept 9, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission (JSC) today submitted its annual report for the year 2024 to the president at Bangabhaban.
A 12-member delegation of the commission, led by Appellate Division judge and JSC Chairman Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury, handed over the report during a meeting in the afternoon.
According to a JSC member present, the president expressed satisfaction with the commission's activities over the past year and encouraged continued improvement in its performance and efficiency.
Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury briefed the president on the commission's major functions, including the recruitment of judges for subordinate courts and various administrative developments undertaken during the period.
The delegation included High Court Division judges Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Fatema Najib, Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Md Mokhlesur Rahman, Finance Secretary Md Khairuzzaman Mozumder, Acting Law Secretary Md Liakat Ali, Acting Dean of Dhaka University's Faculty of Law Dr. Mohammad Ikramul Haque, Supreme Court Registrar General Muhammad Habibur Rahman Siddique, Dhaka District and Sessions Judge Md Rafiul Islam, JSC Secretary and District Judge AJM Al Masud, and Examination Controller and District Judge Ashikuzzaman.
