BMU holds seminar on 'Role of Gabapentinoids in Neuropathic Pain Management'

DHAKA, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS) - A scientific seminar titled "Role of Gabapentinoids in Neuropathic Pain Management" was held today at the Professor Kamrul Islam Seminar Hall of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). 

Chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the university presided over the seminar, said a press release. 

President of the Bangladesh Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Prof Dr Md Taslim Uddin attended as the chief guest while BSPMR Secretary General Associate Prof Dr MAK Azad was present as special guest. 

Associate Prof Dr Md Imamur Rashid delivered the keynote paper in the seminar while Associate Prof Dr. Md. Tariqul Islam delivered the welcome speech. 

Associate Prof Dr. Md. Nadim Kamal moderated the seminar. 

In a special part of the programme, the new physiatrist (FCPS I MD) and newly-promoted associate professors were felicitated. 

In addition, a video presentation was shown on departmental activities and the role of the department in treating the injured in the July Mass Uprising-2024. 

At the end of the event, the seminar activities ended with a vote of thanks and closing remarks with the participation of the guests and teachers.
