Govt. appoints 120 magistrates for security oversight of BCS exam

DHAKA, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS) - The government today appointed 120 executive magistrates for security oversight of preliminary exams of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) on September 19 which is to select candidates for recruitment of fellow magistrates as well alongside officers for other cadres, an official statement said.

The public administration ministry statement said the preliminary exams for 47th BCS exam would be held simultaneously at 113 centres in the capital when the candidates would require answering multiple choice questions or MCQs.

It said one executive magistrate would be on duty for each of the centres to maintain order and seven would be at Public Service Commission’s (PSC) control room with magistracy power under Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).

The BCS preliminary examination will start at 10 am and end at 12 noon on September 19.
