BERC lowers jet fuel prices

DHAKA, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) today reduced the jet fuel Jet A-1 price for domestic and international airlines.

According to the regulatory commission circular the price of Jet A-1 fuel was lowered by Tk 3.53 per litre reducing the amount from Tk Tk99.62 to Tk96.09 for domestic careers.

For international airlines, the price has been cut by $0.0169 per litre, reducing the amount from US$0.6502 to $0.6333.

The new pricing, the circular said, would come into effect from 12 noon.

BERC said considering the Platts Rate from August 5 to September 4 on an average, they adjusted the jet fuel price for September, 2025.

It said Bangladeshi buyers for operating domestic flights will buy jet fuel Tk.96.09 per litre, while local or foreign buyer for operating international flights will purchase jet fuel $0.6333 per litre.
