61 EC officials transferred

DHAKA, Sept 11, 2025 (BSS) - As part of preparation for the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections, the Election Commission (EC) has transferred 61 field-level officials.
 
The transfers were announced in three separate office orders today and the notifications were signed by EC Secretariat Assistant Secretary Mohammad Shahidur Rahman.
 
According to the office orders, five officials of the Election Commission Secretariat have been reassigned to new positions until further notice. 
 
Of the transferred officials, Deputy Secretary G. M. Sahatab Uddin has moved from General Services-1 to Human Resources Development and Welfare, while Deputy Secretary Md. Rafiqul Islam has been posted to General Services-1. 
 
Deputy Secretary Md. Humayun Kabir has been transferred from the Budget department to Election Support and Supply and Deputy Secretary M. Mazharul Islam has been reassigned from Human Resources Development and Welfare to Budget department. 
 
Additionally, Deputy Secretary Mohammad Enamul Haque has been posted to General Services-2.
 
In a separate notification, seven officials, including Deputy Secretaries and Regional Election Officers, were also transferred. 

Furthermore, 49 District Election Officers, Regional Election Officers and Additional District Election Officers were moved to new positions as part of the reshuffle.

The notification said that the transferred officers must be relieved from their current positions by September 18, 2025, or they will be deemed relieved automatically on that date.
