Light to moderate rain, thunder showers likely in parts of country

DHAKA, Sept 12, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places across the country over the next 24 hours, beginning at 9:00 am today.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," according to a BMD bulletin issued this morning.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the met office predicted.

On Thursday, the highest temperature recorded was 35.4 degrees Celsius in Khulna, while the lowest temperature today was 24.5 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:06 pm today and rise at 5:44 am tomorrow.
