Art competition held marking Ozone Day

DHAKA, Sept 12, 2025 (BSS)- A children's art competition was held this morning at the Department of Environment (DoE) in Agargaon here to mark World Ozone Day 2025.

The theme for this year's Ozone Day celebration is: "Biggan Sommoto Kormo, Ozone Rokkhai Bormo" (Science-Based Action, Protecting the Ozone).

The event, organized by the DoE, drew participation from around 350 children and adolescents under the age of 16, including children with special needs. Participants were divided into four age-based groups. 

According to a press release issued by the DoE, the event aimed to raise awareness among the younger generation about the importance of protecting the ozone layer and promoting climate-friendly actions. 

Director General of the DoE Dr. Md. Kamruzzaman, Director (Air Quality Management) Md. Ziaul Haque, Director (Administration) Md. Abdullah Al Masud, and National Project Director of the ODS Phase-10 Project Md. Mohiuddin Manik were present at the event, among others.
