LAKHSMIPUR, Sept 13, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board chairman Prof Mia Mohammad Nurul Haque today said the previous fascist regime had made all arrangements to destroy the madrasah education system.
"Due to irregularities and mismanagement, the quality of the madrasah education system dropped significantly. Even in the Aqaid (Belief) book, there are some contents which may cause disbelief and are contradictory to the principles of Islamic thought," the chairman said.
He was addressing a discussion as the chief guest at Tumchar Islamia Kamil Madrasah here this morning.
Prof Mia Mohammad said, "During the fascist regime, they built some infrastructures in madrasahs. But their intention was not good."
Principal of Tumchar Islamia Kamil Madrasah Mawlana Idris presided over the discussion.
Among the special guests, Saikhul Hadith Mawlana Harun Al Madani, senior vice president of Tanjimul Ummah Foundation Dr Abdullah Al Mamun, Bangladesh Private Madrasah Association president Mawlana Jashim Uddin, and Feni Falahia Kamil Madrasah principal Mufti Faruk Ahmed were present.
