Govt announces medical grant for injured meritorious students

DHAKA, Sept 14, 2025 (BSS) - The government has announced a one-time medical grant for meritorious students from financially disadvantaged families who have been seriously injured in accidents.

According to an official notification issued by the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust (PMEAT) on September 3, students from class VI to graduation or equivalent level are eligible to apply for the grant.

The notification was signed by Mohammad Anwar Hossain Shohag, Assistant Director of the PMEAT.

The financial support will be disbursed for the July-August quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year, the notification said.

Applications must be submitted online by 11:59 pm on October 31, 2025.
