Consensus commission sits with experts on July Charter implementation

DHAKA, Sept 14, 2025 (BSS) – The National Consensus Commission today held another meeting with experts to discuss ways and methods for implementing the July National Charter 2025.

Retired Appellate Division Justice M A Matin, Dean of the Faculty of Law of Dhaka University Mohammad Ikramul Haque, and senior advocates of Bangladesh Supreme Court Dr Sharif Bhuiyan, Barrister Tanim Hossain Shawon and Barrister Imran Siddique joined the meeting as experts held at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital.

During the meeting, the Commission apprised the experts about the issues already discussed with political parties regarding the implementation of the charter. Recommendations earlier received from political parties and experts on ways and methods of implementation were also placed in the discussion.

Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz and members Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar, Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Dr Iftekharuzzaman and Dr Md Aiyub Mia were present. 

Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Monir Haider also joined the meeting.
