NU reschedules degree 3rd year exams due to religious holidays

DHAKA, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) - The National University (NU) authorities have announced changes to the 3rd year examinations of the 2023 Degree (Pass) and Certificate Courses due to the upcoming religious holidays, including Sharadiya Durga Puja, Fateha-e-Yazdaham, Probarona Purnima, and Lakshmi Puja. 

According to an official notification from the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education's Administration and Establishment Branch, academic institutions will remain closed from September 28 to October 9 to observe the festivals.

As per the revised schedule, the Economics (132201/132203), Botany (133001), and Applied Home Economics (136009) exams, originally scheduled for October 8, 2025, will now be held on October 26, 2025. 

Similarly, the Sociology (132001) and Social Work (132101) exams, scheduled for October 9, will be held on October 27, 2025. 

All other exam dates, subjects, and subject codes will remain unchanged as outlined in the previously published schedule on August 19, 2025.

Students have been advised to refer only to official notifications published on the National University website (www.nu.ac.bd) for any examination-related information. The university has cautioned against relying on unofficial sources, which may lead to misinformation.
