RANGPUR, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) - The nine-day vacation of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) on the occasion of Sharodiya Durga Puja, Fateha-e-Yazdaham and Sri Sri Lakshmi Puja began from today.
 
All classes and examinations will be closed from September 28, 2025 and administrative activities of the university will be closed from September 29, 2025 to October 6, 2025, a press release said this evening. 
 
However, during this period, the university's residential halls, electricity, water, security and other emergency services will remain operational as usual. 
 
The university administration has given special instructions to the concerned departments to continue the necessary services during the vacation. 
 
Classes and offices will be opened as usual from October 7, 2025. 
 
BRUR Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali extended his warmest greetings and congratulations on behalf of the university family on the occasion of Sharodiya Durga Puja and Sri Sri Lakshmi Puja, the release added.
