DHAKA, Sept 30, 2025 (BSS) – The Embassy of China in Bangladesh has hosted a pre-departure reception for the second 2025 batch of Bangladeshi diplomats who will soon travel to China for specialized training.

Secretary and Rector of the Foreign Service Academy Dr Md Nazrul Islam and Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen attended the event held on Monday at the embassy, said a press release here today.

Ambassador Yao noted that this marks the fourth batch of young Bangladeshi diplomats taking part in the training initiative jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He described the upcoming journey as a “Trip of Mutual Learning” to better understand China’s development path, a “Trip of Practice” to experience Chinese modernization, and a “Trip of Dialogue” to further deepen bilateral friendship.

The envoy encouraged the young diplomats to make the most of the opportunity through in-depth observation, exchanges, and engagement, thereby becoming inheritors of the China-Bangladesh friendship and contributors to the healthy development of bilateral relations.

Expressing gratitude to the Chinese Embassy for facilitating the programme, Dr Nazrul Islam reaffirmed Bangladesh’s willingness to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation.

He emphasized that such initiatives would help advance the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the two countries to new heights.
