Hindu community celebrating Durga Puja in peaceful atmosphere: Adilur

MUNSHIGANJ, Sept 30, 2025 (BSS) - Housing and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan today said law enforcement agencies and the local administration are working with integrity to ensure smooth celebrations of Sharadiya Durga Puja.

"The law enforcing agencies and local administration remain alert to tackle any obstacle so that Durga Puja is held peacefully," he said.

The adviser made the remarks to journalists after visiting the Sri Sri Joykalimata temple puja mandap here this afternoon.Adilur said the Hindu community is celebrating Puja in a friendly environment, with students and local people extending their support to make the festival peaceful.

"We are trying to ensure that people of all faiths can perform their religious practices peacefully," he added.

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Mohammad Abdul Momen, Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner Fatema-tul Jannat and Additional Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Mosaberul Islam, among others, were present.
