CU entry tests begin Jan 2, applications open Dec 1

CHITTAGONG UNIVERSITY, Oct 12, 2025 (BSS) - The first-year honours admission tests for the 2025-26 academic session at Chittagong University (CU) will begin on January 2, while the online application process will open on December 1.

The decision was made at a meeting of the university's Admission Management Committee held today, with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yeahia Akhter in the chair.

According to the schedule, the admission tests will run from January 2 to January 12, 2026. Prospective students must submit their applications online between December 1 and December 15, 2025.

The tentative unit-wise test dates are as follows: Unit A on January 2, Unit B on January 3, Unit C on January 9, and Unit D on January 10. The sub-unit tests will be held on separate dates: B1 on January 5, B2 on January 6, and D1 on January 12.

Admission tests for Units A, B, C, and D will be conducted simultaneously at three centres: Chittagong University campus, Dhaka University campus, and Rajshahi University campus.

However, the tests for Sub-units B1, B2, and D1 will be held only at the Chittagong University campus.

All information related to the admission process will be available on the university's official website: admission.cu.ac.bd.

The meeting was also attended by CU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shamim Uddin Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, deans of various faculties, and other senior officials.
