5 more including Dhaka North City Shramik League GS held in city

DHAKA, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) -Detective Branch (DB) has arrested five more leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and its affiliated organization from different parts of the capital in the last 24 hours.

They were arrested as part of the ongoing drive to capture the troublemakers involved in bringing out sudden processions to disrupt law and order, deputy commission of DB (media and public relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed. 

The arrested have been identified as Dhaka North City Shramik League general secretary Md. Kalu Sheikh (42), Dhaka District Swechchhasebak League executive member Md. Titu Bhuiyan (45), central Chhatra League Deputy Human Rights Secretary Selim Reza (27), Dhaka District North Chhatra League Vice President Sukumar Chowdhury Shuvo (33), Hazaribagh Thana Chhatra League former president and Dhaka University branch Chhatra League former vice president Md. Abul Hasnat Bahar (37).

DB sources said they Md. Kalu Sheikh from Fulbaria Bus Stand area under Bangshal police station while Titu Bhuiyan from Paltan police station area on Sunday night.

 On the same night, DB-Cyber ??division arrested Selim Reza and Sukumar Chowdhury Shuvo from the Mugda police station area.

Another DB team captured Md. Abul Hasnat Bahar from Mohammadpur Thana around 8:10am today.
