Six districts get new SPs

DHAKA, Nov 16, 2025 (BSS) - The government has appointed six superintendents of police (SPs) to six districts across the country aimed at maintaining law and order properly.

"The order issued in public interest will come into effect immediately," said a Home Ministry notification issued here today. Ministry's deputy secretary Abu Sayyed signed the notification.

It said SP of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) Mohmmad Sarwar Alam has been appointed SP of Gaibandha, while SP of Dinajpur Md Marufat Hussein has been transferred to Faridpur as SP.

The notification said that deputy commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Md Mizanur Rahman has been appointed SP of Dinajpur while SP of Habiganj ANM Sajedur Rahman to Pabna, DC of DMP Goutam Kumar Biswas to Habiganj as SP and DC of DMP Mohammad Billal Hossain to Nilphamari as SP.
