Govt. tasks 4 BCS admin cadre officers to operate mobile courts

   DHAKA, Nov 18, 2025 (BSS) – The government has delegated four BCS administration cadre officers the executive magistracy to operate mobile courts in Sylhet, Chattogram and Rajshahi on behalf of the offices they are currently posted.

   The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications saying these officers would operate mobile courts under Section 10(5) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) of 1898, and Section 5 of the Mobile Courts Act 2009.

   The four officers are – estate and law officer of Chattogram zone of roads and highway department Razia Akter Chowdhury, Rajshahi Unnayan Katripakhha’s executive magistrate Abdullah Al Mamun, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority’s (BRTA) executive magistrate at Sylhet Afroza Habib and Rajshahi divisional director of environment department Nilufa Yeasmin.

   According to the notifications they would keep informed the concerned district magistrates of their activities and in required cases would coordinate with other executive magistrates in different government organizations.
