DU deputy registrar Lovelu sent to jail in anti-terrorism case

DHAKA, Nov 18, 2025 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today sent Dhaka University (DU) deputy registrar Lovelu Mollah Shishir, 46, to jail in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act with Shahbagh Police Station.
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Masum Miah passed the order as the police produced Lovelu before the court and pleaded to show him arrested in the case filed on June 1.
 
According to the police, Lovelu was a vice-president of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League's central committee and had also worked as the personal secretary to former Dhaka University vice-chancellor Akhteruzzaman.
